SpeedMath is the next game that I am reviewing as a random choice,
SpeedMath is an education game that is all about Math, obviously. SpeedMath allows between one and four players to compete against each other and the clock in solving simple Math problems.
The game contains a simple presentation, which in my opinion is perfect for what this game is trying to achieve – mind exercises. The settings allow the player to change the length of the game and to change the size of the numbers used as well as whether to go with addition, subtraction multiplication and division, or even all of them. Given the changeable settings in SpeedMath, it can be changed to provide more challenging Math problems which may prove challenging to adults too.
The layout of the options, A, B, X & Y on the screen are in the same fashion as on the standard Xbox controller and allow for quicker answer of the problems without having to keep looking down before pressing the button. I managed to get a chance to test this out on a non-gamer and it didn’t take long for them to get into the swing of things.
According to the game description you can also “Add a tasty beverage for a different kind of Party Game.”
To sum up (no pun intended), SpeedMath is neat little game if you just fancy exercising your mind, help your kids practice Math or even just show off to your friends how much smarter you are than them.
