StrikeForce-Psi is the next game that I am reviewing as a random choice,
To be honest there isn’t much to say about StrikeForce-Psi, it was just a standard garden variety side scrolling platformer in which you apparently have to save the world from the bad guys. It has 12 levels split over four different exotic locations. Your character is equipped with grenades and what looks to be the world’s largest Beretta (with silencer). You are able to shoot in multiple directions, which is always useful for getting those baddies that are up on the platforms above you.
The controls were straight forward enough and responded well, but I found that I kept running out of ammo as I’m very much a fan of double or even triple tapping to ensure the baddie goes down, I don’t know why and in StrikeForce-Psi, it isn’t necessary, but it’s just been something that’s become habit to me.
One thing that was somewhat amusing was that apart from the fact that the guns were oversized, the sprites seemed to carry them in a very unnatural way, you really have to see it to know what I’m talking about, but it just wasn’t right!
Overall I kind of enjoyed StrikeForce-Psi in a way as it was easy going and not too tough, but I wouldn’t say it is good, but I also wouldn’t say it was bad, it was just another platformer.
