ZenHak is the next game that I am reviewing as a random choice,
Now it’s clear that an awful lot of work has gone into this game and it does look good, the problem is what the heck are you supposed to do? It’s clear that you have to hack devices in a style resembling a craps game (a game known to not that many), but the ins and out’s escaped me. Maybe because I, like so many others hate to look at the instruction manual (of which there should be one for ZenHak in my opinion). In all fairness there were some written instructions on screen, but they were a bit too long for my liking, so I skipped them and tried to wing it.
The controls were also a bit weird and took a bit of getting used to. This game is definitively not very intuitive.
Needless to say, I gave up on trying to get things to work and figure out what was going on. To be honest, this is the first time in ages that I have picked up a game and not been able to figure it out quickly – maybe I’m getting thick in my old age!
So, if you like to try and figure things out, then this is the game for you, but it most certainly isn’t for me and I’m sure I’m quite correct in saying that others agree, given an 8.7% approval out of 27 votes.
